Chris Cunningham (Aphex twins' Windowlicker and Come To Daddy videos, Squarepusher's Come On My Selector and Bjorks All Is Full Of Love robotnik piece) is up to something new and darker.

Rubber Johnny is the latest creation from the UK’s most imaginative filmmaker, Chris Cunningham. Featuring music by legendary electronic composer, Aphex Twin, this nightmarish and hallucinatory experimental short film is accompanied by 40 pages of drawings and photographs - Cunningham’s first published book of original artwork.

The release date has been put back to June 6th due to the Italian printers refusing to expose their workers to the imagery.

Yay... great news, sounds really promising. I must say I'll be looking even more forward to the 40 pages of drawings and photos than the film (I'm not so good with scary movies Shocked ) - his drawings are super nice...

From what I can gather the drawings are what caused the controversy in Italy so they might not be any less intense than the 'scary movie'  Twisted Evil

i just saw the film recently and it was really sweet. its more impressive if you watch it frame by frame (the visual effects in full glory), though ive heard the dvd doesnt have this capability.

apparently the book is made from a combination of photos that are mainly comprised of chris's asshole n scrotum (yummy!) it took so long for such a small amount of released work. i heard there was more but cunningham thought it would take too much time (as if i didnt take long enuff) to finish it.

overall i thought it heart-warming! if you take the teaser at face value it looks much more intense.
