Nope, I guess he's rather a close acquaintance of Lucky - The TNT Rabbit... UPDATE[/color] on the Lucky TNT Case: Two lifeguards who taped an explosive to Lucky the rabbit before tossing her into a lake apologized Wednesday before a judge sentenced them to jail and 30 days of community service.
Lucky's former owner, Nick Sigmon, 19, and his friend Paul Collins, 21, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty for taping an M- 1000 -- a firecracker with the power of a quarter of a stick of dynamite -- to the rabbit and tossing it into Castro Valley's Lake Don Castro on July 13.
The explosive failed to detonate. After pulling Lucky from the lake, the defendants debated trying again but decided against it, authorities said. East Bay Regional Park District police were called after pictures of the incident wound up on the Internet, outraging animal rights advocates.
Lucky has since been placed in another home, where she leads a pampered life. Good. Read more

Nooooooooooooooooo! Pastor aims to send rabbits to feed North KoreansSEOUL (Reuters) - A South Korean pastor is aiming to cut into North Korea's severe food shortage by sending the reclusive state 1.2 million rabbits to eat.
Cho Soon-tae from the Evangelical Movement for National Unification said rabbits are tasty, resilient and reproduce, well, like rabbits, which would make them an ideal food source for North Korea. Read on

Artists erect giant pink bunny on mountain An enormous pink bunny has been erected on an Italian mountainside where it will stay for the next 20 years.
The 200-foot-long toy rabbit lies on the side of the 5,000 foot high Colletto Fava mountain in northern Italy's Piedmont region.
Viennese art group Gelatin designed the giant soft toy and say it was "knitted by dozens of grannies out of pink wool".
Group member Wolfgang Gantner said: "It's supposed to make you feel small, like Gulliver. You walk around it and you can't help but smile."
And Gelatin members say the bunny is not just for walking around - they are expecting hikers to climb its 20 foot sides and relax on its belly.
The giant rabbit is expected to remain on the mountain side until 2025. © Ananova

This time it's for real... Hare attacks dogsled teamA "large and aggressive" hare has reportedly attacked a dogsled team in Norway.
Wenche Offerdal, who was driving the dogsled team, said she'd never seen anything like it.
She told newspaper Nordlys that she and her team of huskies met the "aggressive" hare in Troms County.
"It was sitting 10 metres from the trail and I figured it would run off, and even that the dogs would go after it," Offerdal said. "I was wrong." Read on
