Hey there! Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting these. I think we had some similar dolls featured in the anatomy thread but it's great to have an actual thread for pregnant dolls now.

Could I ask you to maybe provide the source of/caption to the pictures whenever possible? Thank you.  prostrate

Well, not so much a doll but more a statue:

Btw, the stretch marks on the doll you posted, Umi, are just an insanely ingenious detail!

So well made, one can tell its German quality.
By the way, what do you find uglier, the newborn or the placenta ?
I always thought that placenta is the ugliest of all growths, both physiological and pathological (tumors per se ).

Definitely newborns. The fact that they have the faces of old men really creeps me out and I have recurrent nightmares about giving birth to something really gross looking and wanting to run away from it but I'm tied to the bed.  Confused

Oh, and these dreams are always set off by me having a food baby after having eaten too much.

Oh, how very lovecraftian.  Shocked
Perhaps it is something hormonal, should try hot peppers dear, they are the panacea .

Complete serie of 8 plaster busts, natural sizes (as cast directly over the real babies body) of 8 teratologic cases, prepared by Prof. Winternitz. All in perfect condition, great patina, they’ve been produced in Berlin between late 1800’s and first decade of 1900's by Medicinisches Waarenhaus.
