When officials asked for the Welsh translation of a road sign, they thought the reply was what they needed.

Unfortunately, the e-mail response to Swansea council said in Welsh: "I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated".

So that was what went up under the English version which barred lorries from a road near a supermarket.

Having travelled on my own around Wales in the early 90s, I had my fair share of confusion with their bizarre language. I remember having no idea when to get out of the train because the station names were simply way too long to be read and the train would often accelerate again before I knew where I was.

This, however, is epic. I absolutely love this story!
