Found on this Tumblr. Does anyone know the artist or can read the inscription? Ta!  A very kind and wise reader, George Jarvis, found the answer to this: Upper left is the title: "Ginrin" or Silver Scales.
The artist is Takabatake Kashou (1888-1966)
Lower left is a stylized "Kashou"the artis's signature.

Thanks for posting all of these. I remember I actually hesitated to post that picture of Glynis Johns as the baby just scares the hell out of me, haha! The Mariyumi image is just way too cute - particularly the fact that she's crying. Poor thing.  |
