I got two very friendly emails from a very friendly IE-user the other day. I was wondering whether anyone of you still uses that browser and ever had a similar problem:
I use IE6
From a blog site, I found a link to your site. I clicked on the link and went there.
When I wanted to return to the blog site I came from, I clicked on the back button to return to the site I came from.
After clicking, the page refreshes and I am returned back to your site instead of the site I came from.
That is about as simple as I can explain it, because that is every step I took and describes exactly what happened and how it is different from what should have happened.
The back button should be allowed to return me to the site I came from.
In case you are used to a different spelling or name, then this button is found on the left hand side, near the top. It is found on the same line as the forward button, the stop button, the refresh button, and the home button.
The basic concept of blocking the back button is rude and bad etiquette.
There are numerous commercial sites that use this technique to keep the visitor on their site.
Before I visited your site I visited many other sites on which the back button worked correctly.
After I visited your site I visited many other sites on which the back button worked correctly.
This is a good indication that the cause comes from your site, not my equipment.
I hope this explains everything.
Even if it doesn't. I will not spend any more time on this or your site.

Any ideas what went wrong here
(not with Ray, with the browser...)?
