Here in Switzerland, every canton has its own traditional costume. Centuries ago, every adult person had one of these as their "Sunday Dress" to go to church and official local events with, but these days, only (sadly often reactionary) enthusiasts still wear these things. They're hand-made and rather expensive, but they can be oh so sexy, when used with the right accessories. Everyone who's seen the adorable Yelena Panova in "Beresina or The Last Days of Switzerland" knows that... Wink

Anyhow.. here's a beautiful "Tracht" (=traditional costume) from the canton Appenzell Innerrhoden to start this thread:
